lian li pc-q06We have a brand new tech bench here at Pro-Clocks that is solely for testing ITX motherboards, and it comes in the form of the PC-Q06 from Lian Li. The Q06 is a semi-open test bench that right out of the box is meant for ITX motherboards, but it can also be expanded to larger ATX format with an optional tray. The Q06 has all the wow  factor like many of the other cases we've seen from Lian Li, and that is thanks to their high quality aluminum structures and superior styling.

armor a60The A60 offers features that even it's A90 big brother does not have, but we will only be talking about the A60 in this review. With external drive connectivity fast becoming a must-have amongst  the vast majority of individuals (instead of using a standard HDD dock like Cooler master has done with the CM 690 Advance), Thermaltake integrated a hot-swap bay into the A60. Even more unique is the location that Thermaltake chose, building the bay into the side of the case.

colermaster haf xLike the HAF 932, the HAF X displays the same rugged style that gamers have come to love. The industrial look even appealing to me as much as I love the fine tuned lines of the ATCS 840 is awesome to look at. Offering more than looks the HAF X has features that the HAF 932 can only dream of. How do two HDD docks sound? How about USB 3.0 in the front display? Or nine expansion slots in the rear of the case to support triple GPU cards? Yeah, all this and more is what the HAF X is about. Lets read on.

Not made of aluminum like the Panzerbox, but made of steel.  The NZXT gives the end-user the same quality for less money and not give up an inch of space.  Standing fifteen inches tall and being sixteen long, the Vulcan allows you to have that ultimate LAN box. You cannot have the ultimate LAN box without having a high-end GPU? Well the Vulcan can accommodate video cards as long as the Radeon HD 5970.

thermaltake armor a90The first Armour debuted way back in 2005. This year Thermaltake has released a new Armour with an entirely new style and look. The only thing the new Armour has in common with the older brethren is a hinged door on the front. That’s it, and the doors are totally different. The new model is called the A90, which is manufacturered as “Black “bulletproof” armor design with metal mesh elements”. Yes the unit is mesh and is painted black, but the whole bullet-proof thing is something to question. But bullet-proof or not, the new Armour A90 boasst a lot of new features that makes it a real looker.

If all this is true the Qx-2000 is indeed posed to be a major player in the SFF era.

Microcool Banchetto 101Microcool Banchetto 101 is one of the best looking open-air cases out there. When early pictures of the first proto-type surfaced, people began drooling over it. I saw a picture in on one of my favorite forums a couple of years ago. I knew I wanted to get my hands on one. Today, Fredrico and Kristi from Microcool have given me the opportunity. Fully assembled, the Banchetto is one elegant structure as it is comprised of thick acrylic sheets, aluminum and steel.

Plan for nationwide free wireless broadband finally shot down

For four years the Federal Communications Commission tossed the idea  around like a beach ball: a coast-to-coast free wireless service across the low end of the 2GHz "AWS-3" band. The service would pay for itself via advertisements and by selling commercial access to various portions of the license area. The company that proposed the plan, M2Z Networks, would commit to building out the project in a decade, and pay five percent of its annual revenue to the United States Treasury.
