Conclusion

The HAF 922 is a shiny example of what many people want in a mid-sized gaming case. It has rugged good looks that we saw evidence of in the HAF 932. But unlike the 932 the 922 is lighter and a little shorter. The size is right up my alley as I am not a big fan of very tall cases except for maybe the ATCS 840. And speaking of the ATCS 840 and some other Coolermaster cases as of late including the 922 features have been of major importance. Toolless drive installation, ability to turn the LED off on the front 200mm fan, extra vertical PCI slot and the large amounts of room are just a few of the features that we have been raving about in the lab.
The list of features goes on and on. Dual 200mm cooling fans are provided to moves tremendous amounts of air. And at the same times the fans remain reasonably quiet. Another feature that is a huge plus for the water-coolers out there is the ability to remove the two fans and replace with with rads. Another hit for Coolermaster.
I found one small issue with the HAF 922 that may not be a negative to most of us. I found two areas of the case where the edges are slightly sharp. The first place is the left and right sizes of the hard drive and the other is along the bar that supports the side panels at the top and bottom. But in the place of the latter the rails are so turned in that they should not be an issues.
My last flaw is not a true flaw but more of a want. The inside of the HAF 922 is silver in color. I felt that a fresh coat of black paint would leave a lot us thinking the 922 as the best mid-sized case.
Besides that I still would recommend the HAF 922 to all my buddies and readers.
