Closer look at the outside of the Gladiator 600

The Gladiator 600 is a very good looking for a case that cane be purchased for as low as $50. The case has almost a complete mesh front which is similar to that of many of the cases being put out from a lot of companies. This style is the most common used today, but it is very stylish and appealing which is evident by the number of cases produced using mesh. Coolermaster did put their touch on the mesh fashion. We will get into these details later. The Gladiator is not a big case or a tall one for that matter. It stands a little under 19" tall and 17" in depth. Just enough to fit under most desk without an issue.

The begin the inspection detailing the front from top to bottom. The top consist of five 5.25 mesh made bay covers. The mesh allows for an increase of air from the front even when a fan is not placed in the area. Just below the bays are the I/O ports which I am glad to say consist of two USB and one eSATA port. How often do we see eSATA on the front of a budget case? Hardly never. The buttons to the right are the usual power and reset controls. Below this is another large mesh area that protect the 120mm cooling fan used for intake. No fans are included for this area so user would have to supply their own.

The right panel consist of locations for two 140mm cooling fans. The way the area is made 120mm fans can fit as well. The fan location is right where they can blow over the CPU and graphic card of the system. The unit we received has a solid right side panel but there is an option for a windowed panel.

The top of the case is comprised of a single opening for another 140mm which is included. The fan is rated at 1200 RPM at 17 dBA.

The rear of the is standard when compared to other cases in the same price range. The Gladiator has a PSU bottom layout with the location for a 120mm at the top. The two side panels are hold in place by a total of four thumbscrews.
