Installation
The step involved to mount the V10 to any motherboard is pretty simple. But there are a couple of extra steps needed to complete the task like the mounting of the rubber washers and the screwing on of the mounting brackets to the cooler's base. But I promise you it only takes a second longer to accomplish.
Below we have an image of the CPU brackets attached to the base with the mounting screws secured in place. After this step the adding of the rubber grommets is next. And because I am using a closed case setup now for testing, we did not have to remove the motherboard as our Sniper from Coolermaster allows the mounting of coolers without having to remove the motherboard.
We now have the cooler fully ready to go.
Testing
For testing we used the hardware and software listed below:
Testing Hardware:
Intel Core i7 920 @ 3.9 @ 1.4 in BIOS 1.36 in CPU-Z
Crucial Ballistix 2gb PC6400
Thermalright Ultra 120
Sapphire Toxic HD3870
Maxtor Diamond 10 100GB
Thermaltake TP1000
*Note: We upped the voltage and CPU speed to give a better idea of how well the T.E.C. works.
Testing Software:
Hyper PI
Real Temp
CPU-Z
Competition:
Thermalright Ultra-120
Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme
Results
We would be wrong not to put the V10 up against the best cooler we have ever had here at Pro-Clockers. So, we dusted off the Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme Copper we tested last week. After the usual 30m runs of Hyper PI this is what we ended up with.

I was not surprised by the load results we see here at the V10 does have a small cooling advantage in the form of a thermal electric pad. But beaten is beaten and the winner came out to be the V10 by a couple of degrees average on all four cores. At idle we saw the V10 lose out to the Copper Ultra-120 by a small margin.

I am a fanboy of American automobiles especially the old school ones like the Mustangs, Chevells, Novas and many others. And one of the reasons I am so into these cars is because of the big blocks ( V8 for the unknowing) ...
Over the years we have seen the 7000, 8000 and the now current 9000 series. What we are going to review today is not the beginning of the 1xxxx series but a miniture 9xxx called the CNPS9300AT. The little brother boasts some numbers ...
