Packaging and contents
The box that the Hammer comes in is more serious than some we have seen in the past. I have yet to see a manufacturer market their product as severe as Xigmatek did with this cooler. The font and the print as hard and fierce. There is a look of metal and wood about the box. I said a look of the two materials but there are not really anything. There is no images of the cooler on the front but you do get an idea of what the cooler is all about via the small window that allows you to peek in on the cooler. And the hologram that flashes in the background is just plain cool. Xigamtek did a nice job marketing this one.
The rear of the box is where you will find all the useful information about the cooler. Besides all the features and specifications listed, Xigmatek continued the graphics here as well. If you where to see even more of the cooler, turn the box to the side and you get a great look at the base of the cooler ans you can visually see what the HDT feature is all about.
Inside the box you get all the necessary equipment to secure the cooler to any Intel and AMD motherboard. And because of the mounting assembly you get a wrench to secure the cooler to the motherboard. The one thing that is missing from the box is a cooling fan. This is something we have seen a lot from companies like Thermalright. Xigmatek leaves the active cooling to the end user.
