Introduction to the Gelid GX-7 CPU Cooler

It has been a long time since we have had a product from Gelid on the test bench here at Pro-Clockers. But the wait is finally over as we have their newest CPU cooler on tap today. Gelid is known for quiet performance solutions and it continues with the new GX-7 silent CPU cooler. Comprised of seven heat pipes, plenty of aluminum fins and a single Wing 12 PL Blue fan the cooler look to a big performer while not sacrificing your hearing.

Gelid’s take on the GX-7

Engineers at GELID Solutions have created an outstanding new CPU cooler with 7 power heat pipes. Contrary to traditional heat pipe arrangement for this GAMER CPU cooler “GX-7”, a special array of heat pipes was used to take full advantage of all 7 heat pipes heat transfer capacity. Further V-shaped aluminum fins were used in the center of the heat sink to allow airflow to reach the heat sink more evenly. Openings inside of the heat sink and near the heat pipes let fresh-air flows in from the top and the bottom to zones normally poorly ventilated, and eliminate the creation of hotspots. The unique heat sink shape supports dual fans.
