Western Digital to purchase Hitachi's Hard Drive Division

It seems that Western Digital is looking to farther expand its dominance in the hard drive market buy purchasing Hitachi's hard drive division. The deal is said to be worth 4.3 billion U.S. dollars. That 3.5 billion cash and the rest in stock options. Hitachi is looking to concentrate more on their other ventures like power plants.
