ASRock once again is showing they are big players in the motherboard business. No longer are they simply announcing motherboards at the launch of a new chipset, but have models that will be available for purchase on launch day. What's more is they are great looking models at that. Today, we have images of the soon-to-be X79 units which are: The Extreme4-M, Extreme4, Extreme7 and the big dog of the bunch the Extreme9, with its add-in audio/NIC card.
All models are dressed in black and gray, highlighted with all gold Japanese caps. All the standard features are there like USB 3.0, eSATA ports, Gigabit LAN and SATA III. Features are taking to a new level as onboard power/reset with LED diagnostic display, up to eight slots for 2400MHz DDR3 memory and 7.1 digital audio. Only the Extreme 9 will include the add-in for the audio and secondary LAN.
