Conclusion

To many, the Sapphire HD 5750 is not the ultimate gaming card. And it is not. For someone on a modest budget who refuses to put their last dollar on a high cost GPU, the HD 5750 really should be something to consider. In our testing, the HD 5750 outperformed my cherished HD 4770. It was fairly inexpensive and it played every game I like to play. The HD 5750 should cost about the same as the HD 4770 as well. This definitely makes it a great buy, if you are upgrading from a older video card.

Not only do you get performance, but you get new features as well. We can't forget Eyefinity. Multiple monitors rock. With enough monitors along with the right connection, you have a 3D gaming bonanza waiting to happen. Three monitors giving you increased POV is like being inside the game. It is the bomb for lack of a better word. After seeing Ryan's from PCPer you tube video of the feature, I started a separate saving account to save for the monitor to go with it. A second feature and one you will not get much benefit from right now is DirectX 11 support. ATI made it a point to make the 5xxx series a big hit with the public and this was a great start. Preparing for the future, Sapphire bundled a downloadable copy of Dirt 2.

Right now, ATI has the edge as they support Eyefinity and DirectX 11. Let's not forget the price point of the like 58xx and 57xx cards. Priced from $109 to $399, ATI has something for everyone looking for better than average game play and video playback. These latest cards and pricing should bring down the other guy's card some, making for a nice price war that benefits the fans of both companies.

Getting back to this card, we like and like it a lot. It is able to do what most of us would want it to do:  play a few games, watch some high definition videos and whatever else we like to do. We give the Sapphire HD 5750 two awards: Best Value and Highly Recommended.
